Cabbage In Your Cooking

Cabbage has a variety of use if you're planning to make it a frequent dish at home, but although many people consider cabbage as a stuffing or only as the main ingredient in making coleslaw, it also contains high amounts of vitamin C.

Making cabbage into pickle is one of the most appealing and exotic ways of having it. The history of cabbage pickling which varies from Europe to Asia is attractive and also extensive; for example, in Germany, cabbage is the base of the commonly found sauerkraut, and cabbage is also the main ingredient in the savory and spicy kimchee, found in Korea. Learning the skills to pickle cabbage is easy. After chopping the cabbage into a bottle, allow it to ferment by adding water and salt and have it stand in a warm place. This can fundamentally be used as a guide for your own recipe as it is the basic technique used around the world. Adding some vinegar, along with pepper, ginger, garlic or chilies will give cabbage some taste.

Boiled cabbage is a great addition to soups and stews, and the process of boiling will tend to make the leaves soft and tender as well as release the sugars, creating a signature aroma. This is a great side dish to serve with more substantial fare, particularly ground beef and or rice.

In prior, cabbage has been generally used to control intestinal problems as it's an excellent source of dietary fiber, as you'll discover. Owing to the fact that cabbage is full of glutamine, it is likewise used in the care of inflammations.

Cabbage is often used a method to give texture and solvency to other dishes, essentially acting as a filler that will soak up the sauces and tastes around it.
